Kongo ("we", "us", or "our") is a free iOS workout tracking app. This Privacy Policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and your rights around that data.
2. Information We Collect
Account Data
When you sign up, we collect your email address and display name via Firebase Authentication.
Workout Data
We store the exercise logs, sets, reps, weights, workout history, streaks, and achievements you record in the app.
Social Data
If you use social features, we store your display name, bio, friend connections, invite code, and any workout activity you choose to share with friends.
Device Data
We collect your push notification token (to send reminders and streak alerts), device type, and OS version.
Usage Data
Firebase Analytics and Crashlytics collect anonymized crash reports and session data to help us improve the app.
3. How We Use Your Information
- To provide core app functionality — logging workouts, tracking streaks, and unlocking achievements
- To power social features — friends list, activity feed, and invite codes
- To send push notifications — reminders and streak alerts. You can disable these in iOS Settings → Notifications → Kongo
- To improve the app via crash reporting and analytics
- To process Pro subscriptions via RevenueCat and the Apple App Store
4. Third-Party Services
- Firebase (Google) — Authentication, database, Cloud Functions, and push notifications. Google Privacy Policy

- Apple App Store — In-app purchases are processed by Apple. Apple Privacy Policy
We do not sell your personal data to any third party.
5. Data Retention
Your data is retained for as long as your account is active. Deleting your account from Settings removes all personal data from our systems within 30 days.
6. Your Rights
- You can access, export, or delete your data at any time from within the app (Settings → Account)
- You can disable push notifications from iOS Settings → Notifications → Kongo

7. Children's Privacy
Kongo is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has provided us with personal data, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.
8. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you in-app for material changes. Continued use of Kongo after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
